Fabulous New Stall Holder DO RE ME and a Giveaway

Happy Easter Everyone. I trust you have all had a wonderful break.
Piccadilly Market and I have had a well deserved break with 8 days away split between Mt Buller and Phillip Island with family and friends and had huge amounts of fun.

Have been finding it hard to get my work mojo back but a giveaway always gets me in the mood.

First I would like to introduce you to a great new Stall holder that will be at the May 15th Small People Event.

Madeleine Grummett is the force behind a fabulous shop called DoReMe in Elsternwick. I believe she might just come from the same crazy land that i come from. Many fingers in many pots and many more ideas and projects always brewing. My favorite type of people. She is an ex Journalist and writer but now creates many lovely things. Instead of writing my own words, here is Madeleine's description of what DoReMe is all about.

"We take ordinary objects, ancient skills, unloved trash, new art & sculpture, treasures of yesteryear and surprising homegrown, homesewn things and give them to you on a platter – in one place, one space, with a product line you can trace. To put it simply, we have thrown the net wide to harness the creative talents of the village. We believe in product with conscience, and we make it our business to tell you the stories that breathe the life and love into the wonderful one-offs you’ll find instore. We can’t help ourselves. Creativity feeds upon itself and it just keeps growing. I think creativity is a crucial part of consciousness.

For a long time before Do Re Me the store, I simply stole moments to do rabidly creative things in between the very large task of breeding and rearing small humans"

Madeleine is being super duper generous and is offering one of my lucky readers a $100 Voucher WOW!!!!!!!to spend on her products at the May 15th Market.

Leave me a comment below telling me the best thing you did this Easter and double your chance by popping over to the DoReMe Facebook page and becoming a fan. Make sure you tell me you have done so. You have until Sunday 1st May 8pm to do so.

If you comment anonymously please pop your name in the comments so I know who you are should you be selected.

Good Luck Peeps....

  1. I had a facial! That was by far the best thing I've done for me in a long time. And then all the other good stuff that comes with Easter and three little ones... eating chocolate like it's going out of fashion and all the rest.

  2. Hey Janina, I had a full weekend but the best thing I did was take the kids to an Easter Egg hunt and had a yummy easter picnic with lots of goodies that I had baked the night before!

  3. The best thing I did this Easter was spend time together as a family. We are renovating and my husband travels a lot so it was nice to take some time out. I am also 7 mths pregnant so it will be the last Easter I have with only my little man & I together before we all have to adapt to the changes that a new born brings! (Also 'liked' the FB page).

  7. Family time seems to be a winner over Easter!
Nothing better than spending time together, pottering along through the days...a chocolate egg here, chocolate bunny there...
My daughter and I did some sewing together (she's making a skirt after almost sewing a complete bag by herself...she's 7!) my husband and son did some gardening together, enjoying the sunshine...
Such a lovely few days, family time is so precious in these hectic times.

  9. The best thing I did over Easter was a little something just for me. A girlfriend and I caught the train to Melbourne and spent the entire day at South Wharf DFO. We LOVE Barkins department store.

  11. Had a wonderful Easter with the family. A picnic by the river, what joy to see the little ones enjoying their Easter egg hunt among the bushes. The weather could not have been better. Feel really relaxed after the long break.
