Christmas Cookie Success

Have I ever told you how much I LOVE Christmas? It is my favourite time of year and now that kids are getting older it gets more and more fun as the years go by. We had a blast decorating the tree even though i may have been just a little controlling about what decos went where.

Last night we did the Xmas lights around Geelong which sure was an eye opener. People really do get into the spirit.

Today we had a christmas cookie day and I have always struggled to find the right recipe for a perfect biscuit AND I have had issues with finding a perfect icing that held its colour, was glossy and dried hard. Guess what????? I achieved on both levels today.

Very happy with my Cookie Christmas Tree which is a gift for our neighbour and we all had a blast decorating the rest.

    I love a good cookie recipe! I usually use a Nigella one - make double and freeze half. That's more of a butter cookie though. Will definitely be keeping the icing recipe in mind next time I am doing some icing - thank you!

    PS. How great are Christmas M&Ms?!

    Yep, totally love Christmas M&M's.
    This icing is great,, should have mentioned to use liquid glucose which is corn syrup.
